Celebrated “International Women’s Day” 2021 @ UPL Centre for Agriculture Excellence, Vapi.

Celebrated “International Women’s Day” 2021 honoring the achievement of women at grassroot level. The women of #UPLUdyamita brought in #InternationalWomensDay 2021 with a series of activities. From cultural dance Garba and fun-filled activities with a joyful team lunch. Udyamita members doing exceptional work in their field were awarded with appreciation certificate and memento. Our Vice Chairman Mrs. Sandra Shroff, Unit Head and other UPL staff grace the jubilant event. The IWD 2021 witness the participation of women 55 women from various cluster of Valsad.

Observed “International Women’s Day” @ Kheda

International Women’s Day themed “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”, was celebrated jointly with Gram Seva Kendra, Bhalada in Kheda district.

Eight frontline Asha health workers from Bhalada village were honoured for their dedicated service during Covid 19 in the village in a programme held at Gram Seva Kendra, a unit of Gujarat Vidhyapeeth, Bhalada. UPL  Sarus crane Project Head- Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Akhandjyot Foundation, Mehmadabad – Ms. Jigna Patel, SHG Coordinator, Matar block – Mr. Bharat Gadhvi, Veterinary Officer- Mr. Ketan Patel, Women’s Health Officer, Matar Block-  Ms. Kinjal Patel, KVK Dethli –  Mr. S U Jhala and Mr. Ajit Solnaki from  ATMA were present during the programme.

Dr. Kaur expressed the need of positive change in a women’s life, learning new skills and developing entrepreneurship for better education and economic security. Ms. Jigna Patel briefed on the women helpline numbers and resource centre. Ms. Kinjal Patel oriented on various governments health schemes for women. Mr. Gadhvi emphasized on the need for savings through the wide SHG women network and entrepreneurship loans provided to the SHG’s by government.  Dr. Ketan Patel discussed on the role of women in animal husbandry, solutions to some of the common livestock diseases and government schemes for dairy and animal rearing. Mr. Jhala expressed his views on the role of women in agriculture in India and Mr. Ajit briefed on various agriculture related training programmes conducted through the ATMA scheme.  The IWD witness the participation of 80 women’s in the event.

Team Advanta Celebrated “International Women’s Day”

Estah Society in partnership with Advanta Seeds, Cygnus and SVR Group has conducted Women’s Day Celebrations at Reddypalli village, Moinabad. The objective is to support the small and marginal women farmers of Rural areas; focus to bridge a gap between the farmer and consumer with technology and sustainable farming practices; experience real time circular economy. Women employees of Advanta seeds have participated in the Marathon 2K run by supporting their strong commitment to work for rural female farmers. During the event Mr. Satish Hegde, has briefed about farming practices and the latest technologies available for cultivation, highlighting the importance of Women’s day. Female farmers; Mrs. Padmaja, DCP; Mrs. Indira, Additional DCP along with other company representatives; local leaders; students and volunteers have participated in the program to extend their studious support.

Arropando Vidas (Clothing Lives)… A CSR initiative of UPL Mexico

Arropando Vidas which means clothing lives is a CSR initiative of UPL Mexico and is being carried out since 2015. It’s a winter campaign which consist of collecting winter clothing and distribute to the vulnerable communities. This year too we distributed warm clothes and blankets in alliance with the DIF of Ramos Arizpe through whom we were able to reach vulnerable communities and have a better impact. Our second donation took place in the “Ejido Paredon” benefiting more than 500 families. We also distributed food packages and preventive supplies to take care of these communities through this pandemic.
